Computex 2025: Huge Event with Mini PCs!

The Mini PC Landscape: B2B Dominance and Consumer Gems
While many of the mini PCs on display were B2B (business-to-business) models destined for rebranding by companies like Dell, there were still plenty of exciting consumer-oriented machines. It felt like bigger players like ASUS were testing the waters, while dedicated mini PC manufacturers were truly pushing boundaries.

Here’s a rundown of the key players and their mini PC offerings:
- Minisforum: This booth absolutely blew us away. They know their audience: tech enthusiasts who demand no compromises. Highlights included:
- The Atom G7 with a built-in RTX 4070.
- The Minisforum G1 sporting a Ryzen 9 8945HX and an RTX 5060, all wrapped in a PlayStation 5-like design. This one is set to make a huge impact!
- The MSA2, housing a monstrous Ryzen 9 9955HX (Zen 5, 16 cores, up to 5.4 GHz!) with a PCI 5 x16 slot for a laptop GPU upgrade. Minisforum is definitely hitting hard with these products.
- Minix: We reviewed one of their Android boxes years ago, and it was cutting-edge even then. Their new tech features AI upscaling from 720p to 8K, and their mini PC range stretches from entry-level N100 units up to AMD Ryzen HX370. If they’re built like their Android units, these will be serious contenders.
- Maxtang: Though their booth was small, their passion was huge. Their lineup ranged from Intel N595-powered budget PCs to high-end Ryzen 8000 series machines, with a keen focus on the evolution of the FP750.
- Ace Magic: They weren’t holding back, with mini PCs from elegant designs to overtly experimental ones. Their top-tier models feature the Ryzen HX370. The Tank 3 was a bold centerpiece, showcasing off-the-grid AI and drawing a crowd with its unique design and power knob.
- Migi (GeekCom): While perhaps more famous for laptops this year, they still showcased mini PCs like the Nooking N100 and new white Intel i9 models that looked fantastic.
Beyond Mini PCs: Other Noteworthy Tech
- ASUS Innovation: ASUS had some eye-popping tech, including the Spatial Labs V Pro monitor. This incredible display brings 3D visuals without special eyewear, tracking your head for immersive graphics and surround sound in games like Monster Hunter or for graphic design.
- ASRock: Showcased more motherboards and practical small form factor mini PCs.
- Gaming Handhelds: While ASUS surprised by not revealing a new ROG Ally, MSI stepped up, showcasing multiple colors and SKUs of the MSI Claw, a contender for the biggest handheld we’ve seen.
- Cool PC Cases: Beyond the custom mods, Silverstone threw it back to the late 80s/early 90s with a PC case packed with modern bells and whistles. We also spotted a Taiko Drum Master setup in a fish tank – yes, seriously!
- VMO: Best known for keyboards, they’re stepping into decent arcade controllers.
Top 3 Most Impressive Booths at Computex 2025
- G.Skill: Their new memory sticks are incredibly fast and stunning. Their custom PC builds, crafted by top modders, were true head-turners – literally, with one creature’s head following you!
- Palit: They kicked things off with a fantastic Monster Hunter-themed PC case you can 3D print at home, and a Doom-themed mod via Palit Maker. Their builds were sick, and they even had a mini PC called “Panoras Box” focused on AI and robotics.
- Gigabyte: Stepping into their booth was like Star Trek cosplay with GPUs and motherboards adorning the walls, alongside some impressive PCs and mini PCs, all under the watchful gaze of Captain Kirk.
The True Spirit of Computex
Beyond the dazzling tech, the incredible builds, and the sheer volume of innovation, what truly makes Computex special is the networking. We had the invaluable opportunity to meet YouTube creators we’ve admired for years, connect directly with the minds behind the mini PCs we review, and even chat with the people who manufacture the very components we use.
Computex 2025 was an incredible ride, offering a glimpse into the exciting future of computing and solidifying connections within the global tech community. We’re already looking forward to what next year brings!
